About ScanReviver
Your file is deleted the moment it's done. The big PDF sites keep your bank statements and IDs on their servers. Here the original goes right after processing, the result after 45 minutes — or sooner, on your click.
ScanReviver is a free online tool that turns a quick photo or scan of a document into a clean, straight, readable page: a tidy PDF or image you can share, print or archive.

Who makes it
One person, in the Netherlands, on a computer I own and keep switched on. There is no company behind ScanReviver, no app to install and no account to make, and the reason it is free is boring: the maths that straightens a photographed page is cheap, and I already pay the electricity bill.
It started with a landlord who wanted everything on paper and a phone that took crooked, shadowed pictures of it. Every app that fixed that wanted a subscription or stamped its own name across the bottom of my documents. This one does neither.
What it does
Upload a document photo and ScanReviver detects the page, lets you fine-tune the four corners, corrects the perspective, evens out uneven lighting, and exports a clean result. You can keep it in colour, produce a near-white "scanned" look, or go crisp black & white. Multiple pages combine into a single PDF, and you can optionally add a searchable text layer.
What it does not do
ScanReviver improves readability. It does not certify or authenticate documents. It does not use generative AI to rewrite or invent content — it never fills in letters, changes numbers, edits dates or recreates signatures or stamps. What it does do is adjust the image (contrast, colour or black & white), so fine details can shift and you should always check the result before relying on it. It cannot recover detail the original photo did not capture — very dark shadows, covered text and heavy blur may still look imperfect. It is a cleanup tool. I would rather write that down here than let you find it out on a contract.
Privacy
Your original upload is deleted right after processing. Your cleaned result stays available for a short time so you can download it, then it is deleted automatically, and you can remove it immediately with "Delete now". Files are never used for AI training and are never sold or shared. The privacy page has the detail.
Who it's for
Anyone who photographs paperwork with a phone: students scanning notes, people filing receipts and forms, or anyone who wants a tidy PDF without installing an app or creating an account.
