A scan that came out sideways, or one landscape page in a stack of portrait ones. Pick the direction, name the pages if you only want some, and download it. Nothing is re-compressed — the pages themselves are untouched.
A PDF page carries a note that says which way up it should be shown. Turning it here changes that note and nothing else — the text stays text, the images stay exactly the bytes they were, and a searchable scan stays searchable.
That matters because plenty of tools rotate by rendering every page to a picture and building a new PDF out of those. That works, it also throws away the text layer, quadruples the file size and softens every letter. This does not do that.
Leave the pages box empty and the whole document turns. Type 3 and only page three moves; type 2,5-7 and it is page two plus pages five through seven. That is the common case with a scanned report: one wide table shot sideways in the middle of an otherwise upright document.
Page numbers that do not exist are ignored rather than guessed at. If none of them exist you get told, instead of a file that came back unchanged.
Turn a page 90° twice and it ends up at 180°, not back at 90°. So you can run the same file through twice if the first turn went the wrong way — two more quarter turns in the same direction and you are back where you started.
Your PDF is uploaded to our own machine, changed there, and the original is deleted the moment it is done. The result is deleted automatically after 45 minutes.
If a rotated page turns out to be one you don't need, our split PDF tool lets you pull it out on its own. Building one document from several pages you've straightened out? Merge PDF puts them back together in order.
Drop the PDF in, pick the direction, and press Rotate. The download you get back has the rotation saved into the file — it is not a viewer setting.
Yes. Type the page number in the pages box, for example 3, or 2,5-7 for several. Leave it empty to turn the whole document.
No. Only the page's orientation flag changes. Text stays text, images keep their exact bytes, and a searchable scan stays searchable.
Many tools rotate by rendering every page to an image and rebuilding the PDF. That loses the text layer and inflates the file. This one does not.
Run the result through again. The turns add up, so two more quarter turns the same way puts it back.
