From a wonky wall photo to shareable notes

A whiteboard photo is shot at an angle, framed by the wall and clouded by reflections. ScanReviver squares it up and lifts the background toward white so the writing stands out, then hands back a JPG, PNG or PDF you can drop into an email or a doc.

How to clean a whiteboard photo

  1. Stand square to the board and photograph it in even light, avoiding direct glare.
  2. Upload the photo to ScanReviver (JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC).
  3. Drag the corners onto the board and choose Colour Document to keep the marker colours.
  4. Preview, then download a JPG, PNG or PDF.

Good to know

Glossy boards throw back reflections and hotspots from lights or windows; ScanReviver reduces uneven lighting but cannot remove a hard glare that hides the writing, so shoot from a slight angle to that light. To tackle a shadow across the board, see reduce shadows; to make several board photos into one file, scan to PDF.

ScanReviver improves readability; it does not use generative AI and never rewrites text, changes numbers, edits dates or recreates signatures or stamps. Very dark shadows, text hidden under a finger, glossy glare and severe blur can still look imperfect, so always check the result before you rely on it.

Common questions

Will it keep my marker colours?

Yes. Choose Colour Document and the red, green and blue ink stays while the lighting is flattened.

Can it remove glare from the board?

It reduces uneven lighting, but a hard reflection that hides the writing cannot be recovered. Shoot from a slight angle to the light for the best result.

Can I combine several board photos?

Yes. Add up to 10 photos and download them as one multi-page PDF.

Is it free?

Yes: no account, no watermark, no daily cap. Uploads are deleted right after processing.
